The Israel Institute at Regent University Partners with VIAB

The Virginia Israel Advisory Board (VIAB) is excited to partner with Regent University’s Israel Institute on a new initiative that connects Regent University alumni with Israeli companies in Virginia. This program allows alumni to provide valuable advice and support based on their functional and industry expertise.

The VIAB and the Israel Institute will collaborate with Regent University alumni to develop this program, which will include opportunities to meet with Israeli CEOs and guest speakers. Additional area of collaboration between the VIAB and the Israel Institute will encompass academic exchanges with Israeli universities, support for academic enrichment programs, and public events.

Virginia is home to over 50 Israeli companies across diverse sectors, including Defense & Aerospace, Controlled Environment Agriculture,
Healthcare & Biotech, Cybersecurity, Manufacturing, and Unmanned Systems.

Regent University has a strong history of collaboration with Israeli companies. For instance, the Cybersecurity Range at Regent was developed using the platform of the Israeli company Cyberbyte. Additionally, School of Business & Leadership alumnus Dr. Bobby Dyer, an esteemed faculty member at the Robertson School of Government and the Mayor of Virginia Beach, recognized the Israeli shipping company Zim by naming a street after it last year, following Zim’s relocation of its U.S. headquarters and 300 employees to Virginia Beach Town Center, along with a $30 million investment. You can read more about this in Virginia Business Magazine.

The Israel Institute at Regent University is directed by Dr. A.J. Nolte, who also serves as an Associate Professor with the Robertson School of Government and is on the board of the VIAB. Dr. Doris Gomez, Dean of the School of Business & Leadership and a member of the VIAB Christian Steering Committee, along with The Honorable Michelle Bachmann, Dean of the Robertson School of Government, are also actively involved in this initiative and look forward to lending their support.
