Our Programs

The Virginia Israel Advisory Board offers a variety of programs to foster international business success in Virginia.

Shraga Brosh (Left) and Brett Vassey heads of respective Israel and Virginia Manufactures Associations signed an MOU at the VIAB Virginia-Israel teaming event in Fairfax County – Virginia through the VMA is the only U.S. State to have an agreement and ongoing cooperation with the Manufacturers Association of Israel.

Contract Manufacturing

Israeli companies can reduce their time to money and manufacturing and assembly cost by outsourcing contract manufacturing, procurement and supply chain management to Virginia companies.

The Virginia Manufacturers Association (VMA) works with Israeli companies to find Virginia suppliers and production resources.  The program is valuable for Israel companies selling to federal agencies and need to meet buy America criteria.

Bringing Israeli Shipping, Port and Logistic related companies to the Hampton Roads Region.

The Virginia Israel Advisory Board brings Israeli Port and shipping related technologies and companies to the Hampton Roads Region of Virginia which is the second largest East Coast port and the U.S. Headquarters of Zim Israel Shipping Lines.

We leverage the presence of Norfolk having the largest navy base in the world and NewPort News Ship Builders who make aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines for the U.S. Navy to partner Israel companies with all the local players in that ecosystem – especially with the 100s of area veteran-owned business who are expert in the selling maritime and defense related products in federal contracts.

Defense, Security and Cyber

Virginia is Washington D.C. – the center for Federal contracting and procurement for all military branches.

7 of the top 10 federal contracting companies are headquartered in Virginia, as well as, the Pentagon, Marines and CIA.

In a segment with proven Israeli prowess, the Defense, Security and Cyber program pairs Israeli companies seeking to enter the U.S. market with players in the Virginia federal contracting ecosystem

The Virginia Israel Advisory Board works with the Israel Ministry of Defense; the Israel Manufactures’ Association and Kibbutz Industries to develop partnerships with leading federal contractors.  We bring Israeli defense delegations to Virginia to conduct one-on-one business networking meetings.

Please enter your partner criteria in our partner search database and we will work with you to develop manufacturing and sales partnerships in order to enter the U.S. market through Virginia.

Source Israel Technology

Virginia companies can access Israeli innovative technologies to gain competitive advantages, shorten R&D cycles and lower costs.

The Virginia Israel Advisory Board’s Open Innovation program provides Virginia companies access to innovative Israeli technologies and R&D funding for Israel-Virginia JVs.

Israel has the highest number of people (per capita) working in R&D in the world and the highest venture capital investment levels per capita in the world.  These factors created a pool of hundreds of early-stage, innovative Israeli companies seeking to enter the U.S. market, and they are ripe to partner with mature Virginia businesses.
